Are You Open For Business?

Most businesses have an open sign to tell others when they are open and when they are closed.  However, this is a bit more difficult when you are based online, so how do you tell your customers you are open for business when you have an online business?

It's not easy, but below are some ideas that will get your business noticed online.

Create an online presence - a great way of doing this is by setting up a website or a blog and sending out regular updates of posts.  This shows you are active and your business is current.
Another great way is setting up an online presence is to set up a facebook group page or fan page, what ever takes your fancy, but promote your facebook page and your website together, use other social media space such as twitter, myspace, digg to get the word out that you are open for business.

Participate in other forums: A great way to get known as an expert is to participate in other forums and leave comments on blogs.  Leaving comments in this way builds up your credability and creates backlinks to your blog or website.

Leaving Comments on Blog Posts - Beleive it or not this will create back links to your blog if you leave comments on 'do follow' blogs, as well as 'no follow' blogs.

Press Releases -  tell people about important events in your business by preparing a press release.

10 Tips For Getting Your Business Out There

Social Media Marketing is something which does not come naturally to most people.  You either have the edge or you don't.  Here I will share with you some marketing tips that will help to get your business out in the world wide web.

The secret is to promote, promote, promote.  Make sure that what you are promoting is news worthy and is not considered to be spam.

1. Identify your niche - spend time going doing the research both in the keyword market and online blogs and forums to identify where you niche market is and who they are.

2. Leave valuable comments in blogs and forums.  Leave a trail, let people know you are an expert, the more comments you leave, google will reward you!

3. Create a signature link for your emails, promote yourself and your website whenever you send out an email.

4. Include a photo in your email link, this will help others see that you are a real person and not a spambot.

5. Get yourself a twitter account if you have not already got one.  Always create a twitter account with your name, after all if you create some bogus random name, who is going to find you? Remeber no spamming, twitter is like a party, mingle and network with other users.  It's not all about you you you!

6. Think about your bio when adding to sites like ezine articles, or even to twitter or your blog.  What are you trying to convey to others who come visit your sites?

7. Creaate a brand, remember your business is all about YOU.  Without YOU, there is no business.

8. Note down your achievements, and shout them out! Announce them on a press release or on your blog, but promote your successes.

9. Learn from your disasters, yes you can also report these as lessons, and what you could have done, or what you did do to turn it around.

10. Take action to put something out there in the world wide web on a day to day basis.  The more gets out the better.  Make sure it is quality though, you don't want to compromise your brand!

Your turn:

Let me know what other tips you have for getting your business out there in my comments below!

Inflation Stinks For Business Owners & Investors

Yes, I said it.  Rising fuel bills have pushed the inflation rate above 5% the highest it has been for 20 years they say.  Wow!  So how does this affect your business and your investments?

  • Higher fuel bills
  • higher rate business taxes
  • higher loan rates
  • higher mortgages or rents will shortly follow
  • reduced savings for those of us careful with our money (something like 1.5% at the moment in some cases)
I could go on and on and on, but you get the drift.  It's the SME owners that are going to suffer through all of this, and hey guess what not many measure in place to help them out.  So it looks like your on your own.
This has bothered me for the last 18 months, watching my pension investment go down.  I pity those who are nearing retirement or about to retire, because in reality due to the economic down turn you are looking at more than 10% reduction in their investment and possibly more over time.  At least I have a few years yet before I retire for the market to recover.  This is scary!

Invest in Gold and Silver
I have had friends and fellow marketers scream at me.  Well I have been watching the price of gold, and am kicking myself now, as I should have invested then.  Have you seen the price of gold?  $1600 plus per ounce!!  I remember seeing this at $80 an ounce... no chance now. What a great return in only a few short months.  Now I know gold has gone down over the last couple of days, but cold coins.....
Coins?
How can a coin be an investment?  Well when they are sold directly from the mint in pristine condition. Of course there are other factors which I won't go into here, but my website goes into more details ==> click here

How I Generated 85 leads in two days

I am so excited right now.  I recently was introduced to a business investment and opportunity.  A way in which I am able to invest in my business in something tangible, which will serve as either an investment or a heirloom and to be able to right off the tax aspects in the business element.

But that is not whay I am discussing here, I'm talking about a new lead system that is helping drive high quality leads to my site.
Now I have used lead systems before, but didn't get results like I have been seeing over the past couple of days.

From signing up to this lead system, setting up the back end and emailing out links took me two hours, then within a couple of days my stats had grown to 85 leads, where I was able to sign up one person.  Impressive huh!

Two days of advertising and signing up 1 lead.

There is so much to this, that it's easier for you to view the link. So I thought I would share with you the system I am using ==> goo.gl/LiR4u  Yes, it is an affiliate link, but hey a girls got to make a living... plus if you come on board, you too can start earning money plus generate leads within your primary business.

Mobile Marketing - Are You On Trend?

In the last 18 months or so the smartphone mobile market has jumped considerably. With the introduction of Apple's iPhone and the HTC Desire and many other mobile companies producing super smart phones, it's like having a personal PC in your phone. In the UK alone according to the BBC 80% of households have one. Considering there is a 60million population in the UK, that's a huge market.
The new brand of smart phones are now so powerful, and come with 3G and wi-fi access to the internet which makes them convenient, and lighter to carry around.

Lessons From My Day Job That Have Helped Me In My Network / MLM Business

Some of you may not be in a position where you are able to work from home full time, and are still currently working for an employer.
Think about this, have you ever wanted to just go back to sleep after the alarm clock goes because you just haven't got the motivation or drive to get up and go to work?
I know a few people who are in that position now as we speak!

Wouldnt' it be nice to be in a position where if you do wake up early enough in the morning and you don't have the drive or motivation to get up at that point, that you could just chill further in your bed and not worry about answering to a boss.

What we all need to remember is that our jobs are not for "life" , and that "life" has a terrible habit of getting in the way of one's plans.

It is all too important to recognise that a job is not for life as it was say when our parents were young, in the age of the industrial revolution, now we are in the 'information age' a job can be so volatile, you need to have a second option available in case 'Mr Corporate or Ms Corporate, decide to pull the rug from underneath your feel and throw you out onto the retirement heap or the voluntary redundance heap.  Yes I have been there before (the voluntary redundancy route!  I am too young to be thinking of retirine.

So with having a Plan B in mind, here's what you are going to have to do...

  • figure out what transferable skills have you got.  Can y ou type (even if it is only one finger), can you send an email, are you good at talking on the phone, are you easy to teach and can you learn from anyone regardless of their age to you?
  • think long and hard about what marketing product you can see yourself marketing
  • think about how many hours realistically do you have for a home based part time business, dont forget walking the dog and taking the kids to school!
  • think about whether you want to sell products or services as this will be key as to what type of network marketing group you get on board with. Do your due diligence either way.
  • how much money are you going to be willing to invest?  Money?? Arghhh, can't I do this for free?  No is the simple answer.  You can do it for less, but not for free if it is going to be an opportunity that helps you work your way our of your day job, come on let's face it, do you want to be paid peanuts or big bucks?  Which will get you retiring from your day job quicker?
