Welcome back to my blog, I recently wrote about choosing the right home business If you are new to Network Marketing, you will hear time and time again that the most valuable activity you must do is to build your list. It is imperative for lead generation to happen, and for you to generate profits and sales.
You may be wondering what this list is that everybody seems to be talking about. The list that everybody talks about is the marketing leads that you capture on your OWN website through either blog posts or twitter comments or whatever social media site you happen to be using.
When you start your business with your network marketing company you will have been given access to a corporate website. You will probably do a who shed load of advertising leading people to your corporate website right? This in turn will have a capture form where you are able to capture the e-mail addresses for those people who you have advertised to. This will normally be linked to automated emails that your network marketing company will send out to your list in a timely fashion. What’s wrong with this picture? Well let’s look at it this way. If you decide to leave your network marketing company, what happens to those leads that you have worked hard to drive to the corporate website? Hmmm, see where I am coming from.
So, first thing to look at is to do two things really:
a) Get your own website this could be a blog
b) Get set up with an auto responder service In order to start capturing these leads you must first look to having your own lead to capture sites.
A great place to get your own url is with GODADDY they are inexpensive and are quite popular. Once you have purchased your URL, normally your network marketing company would have a service where you can use your own URL, linked to their corporate site, but you would need to pay an additional fee to set this all up.
If they done, then I would suggest you ‘mask’ your URL you purchased to the corporate URL thank you page, so that the person who has registered does not have to sign up twice. But instead are taken straight to your marketing list in your OWN back end.
There are a few autoresponder services online, but the most popular seems to be AWEBER, you can trial it out for a small fee I believe. AWEBER is so flexible, it allows you to generate mailing lists, broadcast adhoc messages to all lists, and even broadcast your blog posts. Keeping in touch is essential once you have someone on your list.
Now once you have set up your own website and link your autoresponder to capture your emails, then you can start to build your list.
Tips to build your list
· Write your follow up emails in your list first. Space out the days in which the emails go out to your prospects, you don’t want it going out too often. People are bombarded with emails every day, so try not to add to this.
· Prepare a web form that will allow you to capture the leads. Make it exciting and have something of value to give away so prospects will sign up.
· Where ever you begin advertising, you must drive people back to your website that you have set up, so they can sign in to your autoresponders.
