Motivational Wednesday Video - How to Flip Your Switch

Did You Wake Up On The Wrong Side of Bed?

Sometimes we start of having a bad day, either receiving bad news
falling out of bed, stubbing our toe, being suddenly woken up.

Whatever has made you miserable at the beginning of the day
is also making your day a 'miserable day' unless you are
able to 'flip your emotional switch' and get back on
the positive side of the trace.

Great advice here in my video below which can help.

If you find this useful, why not leave me a comment below.

How Far Will You Go to Be Succesful?

Everyone wants to be successful, but most are not willing to do what it takes. Why? It's too uncomfortable and too easy to put off.

How far will you go to be succesful? What are you willing to sacrifice short term to meet your long term goals. If your reason for wanting something is not strong enough or powerful enough, you wont develop the vision of the focus to achieve your goal. You have to be able to live, visualise and breathe your goals, be willing to do what ever it takes. Far too often being a success may mean stepping outside of your comfort zone. Not many of us are willing to do this, much to our detriment.

Being accountable for your own actions, and being driven, having the courage to take risks, to do what ordinary people would not do, makes the top 3% of high income earners in the home business industry highly successful leaders.

DO you want to be ordinary just like everyone else, or do you want to be extra-ordinary? I know I am extra-ordinary and mentoring others to be extra-ordinary too...

Do you Know How To Motivate Yourself?

I recently came back from holiday and had such a lovely relaxing time, I am struggling a bit to get back into the 'work mode' thing for my home business. I thought to myself, what can I do to motivate MYSELF?

Money is a good motivation, but what if the money is just coming in anyway, what is motivating you then? Then I received an email in my in box the other day and the contents of which inspired and motivated me to get back into action. Why? I hear you ask.

It was an email from a friend outlining the story of a lady who had tackled her 'goliath', and against all odds she had won. Now this lady 'Sophia Stewart' had written a play some years ago in 1981 called 'The Third Eye', she had submitted this to an agent but it was not used. Some years later a succesful series of movies 'The Matrix I,II,III' hit our screens earning over $2.5billion dollars. Sophia realised these were based on her play and she begun a fight to take on media giants Warner Brothers. This case was not even mentioned in the media... why? Well Warner Brothers own a lot of media magazines, tv shows, radio stations. It took 6 years for her to win her fight, but she had HOPE, she knew what was what and had FAITH that all would end well.

So, for me, this story of HOPE and having FAITH and being able to succeed against all odds finally motivated me to get back on track.

Find a story or situation to motivate you and get you back on track.... Take Action ahd HAVE BELIEF.

Having a Sense of Purpose and Belief in Where You Are Going

If you believe firmly in what you are doing, your purpose in life, and keep taking positive steps down the right path, my friend, you will get to your destination and you will know the satisfaction that comes along with meeting challenges, deadlines, and winning. In life, the people you come in contact with, you love, and you care about can provide you with a source of inspiration and self assurance that can get you through any day. But remember that your actions can sometimes affect them in a positive or negative manner, and have an adverse affect on the present situation at hand. When you keep these people close, you can find a special incentive to live a healthier and more productive life which will help you keep control over your emotions, your situations, and personal actions so you do not do harm to yourself or to others.

Eqalitarianism! Friends’ ” Life is your playground”. We need to learn to use it and not abuse it. We only have one life, why not make it the best life possible. We as individuals have choices in life of how we want to live, who we want to love, who we want to be, and we have the ability to think for ourselves. Sit down, close your eyes, take in a deep breath, and think about how to live your life as if you had a free pass.

Really take the time to think about the ways in which your life could improve without the worries of stress, bills, the healthcare problem, the economy, self-doubt, non-acceptance, prejudice, discrimination, standing in your way.

If nothing else, it’ll be a nice trip to a magical land somewhere in space where you could actually live your life. But maybe, just maybe, you’ll come up with an idea that might just work. And in any case…Live life with purpose, with dignity, and embrace IT! Embrace beauty; which we all know, starts from deep within, and most importantly, EMBRACE your inner spirit and find the true Man or Woman you are destined to be.

End of Year Reflections

I have been amazed at how quickly this year has gone by. I read somewhere that as we get older the years seem to go by quicker, and that certainly seems true.

I remember starting out this year with my goals, objectives and desires. Having written them down in my journal, periodically through the year I have looked at then, tweaked them were required and ticked off those that had been achieved. Having time to look back at the ones that have not been achieved, I look to why I didn't manage to achieve them. Wasn't I focussed enough to work on them? Did I do enough ACTION to achieve them?

Sometimes LIFE gets in the way and stops us from achieving, but sometimes we need to step back in order to be able to see that. Too often we plough on through these times of adversity or crises called LIFE without really truly checking whether the actions that we are doing or not doing will lead us to our overall goals, dreams and objectives.

So, what are we going to do that will make the difference? That is the question to ask yourself. Only you will have that anwser.

Here's to success for all of you for 2010. Reflect back to the past to learn, and take forward those lessons to the future, for the present just know where you are heading and you will definately get there in good time.

Dreams are the door way to Visualising

Listen to this, when you were a kid, didnt you have big dreams, especially around this time of year... Christmas around the corner, wonder what Sant is going to bring me this year. I have been good for mom and dad, so I should get what I want right.....

We visualised, we told our parents and our friends what we wanted right..

Well let us get back to that stage when we were kids and we really really wanted something badly, whether it was the best dolls house on the market, or the best laptop or radio car or what ever it was for you then. Can you remember how you felt, how every bone in your body felt thinking about your dream present for christmas. Do you remember looking at your dream present every day in the toy section of the catalogue?

As an adult we now call this visualisation - dream boards, wish lists, target, goals, hopes and dreams...

So get back to your childhood and now put down your goals, dreams, hopes and what you want out of life onto your dreamboard, visualise and look at it daily, feel it deep in your bones as how you would feel if you had reached / received it now.

Visualising is great, but you need to have action to achieve............if you have a deep desire you will find a way to action.

Happy Visualising - watch this...

10 Thoughts on Abundance

These are some great insights which I read from another blog by my friend Hemel Radia. I have included the link in case you want to also subscribe to his wonderful blog. Hemel Radia

1. The Universe is TOTALLY abundant, it is a willing and waiting canvas for your desires. It is so abundant and so unconditional and there is such freedom that it will even allow you to have an abundance of scarcity if that’s what you choose to resonate with. The Universe is abundant, scarcity and ‘limit’ are man-made concepts

2. Realise that abundance is much more than money. If you think of it only as money you are only thinking of some of the possibilities. Abundance finds itself to you via the path of least resistance. Be open in your expectations and let the universe deal with the ‘how’ and how it gets to you.

3. Abundance is attained by tuning in to what you have (than what you don’t), no matter how big or small, and more of the same is attracted, and it grows and grows. You’re letting the universe reveal the abundance to you that’s here, you start by knowing that it’s here (practicing the thoughts and vibration that you know it)

4. It’s not about quantity, you focus on the quality of your essence, your thoughts and feelings, and the Universe matches it in terms of the quantity, the numbers and ‘the how’. It will pay more attention to your vibration rather than the number you keep visualising. It will be about your vibration ABOUT the numbers than the numbers themselves

5. The Universe can provide you with limitless abundance in all areas, it IS abundant, how much of that are you bringing in through your beliefs and what are you willing to see? What are you ‘allowing’, what are you letting in via your expectations?

6. Remember that what you want is always here. All you’re doing is turning the unseen into the seen. Everything you want is around you. When you think it’s not and you are trying to attract something that’s ‘not here’ you can be creating a separation in your mind between you and what you want, there is no separation, there is only connectedness in this universe.

Know that you are as magical as the universe is as you are a part of it, you are like the drop that is in the larger ocean that is the ‘universe’. And the universe isn’t bringing something that isn’t ‘here’, it's only 'not here' in your conscious physical perspective, everything and all possibilities exist here and now and you are connected through your thought and vibration. From the universe's perspective time and space do not exist the way that you perceive them from your conscious physical perspective, in its perspective there is the here and now and all possibilities exist there. You are connected to everything you want, and even all the things you will want that you don’t yet know you will want

7. Do you worry about breathing quickly so you don’t run out of air? That’s sometimes the case with people and money or other items. They hoard and store it ‘just in case’. What does ‘just in case’ imply? It implies a vibration of something that might happen that you don’t want; this might not help your energy flow. What happens when you don’t let blood flow? It clots. What happens when you don’t let things flow in life? Resistance can build (depending on your vibration about it – you will know by how you feel, if you feel good then that’s fine). Do what feels good, let your feelings be your guide to what to ‘do’. Just like when you have a piece of fruit compared to something else which is not supposed to be good for you, you can ‘feel’ which is better for you, oftentimes we don’t trust or pay attention to it due to other noise we have going on. The answers are and always have been here

8. The Universe is constantly expanding, that’s what you are here to do, to expand, grow, and the universe expands THROUGH you. The universe WANTS you to expand, to go for more things, so it can expand too. It's a win-win, that's a concept the universe works on. Scarcity leads to win-lose relationships, abundance leads to win-win relationships. Scarcity is 'How big a piece of the pie can I get'. Abundance is 'In our coming together how big do we want to make the pie so we all get big pieces'

There is never-ending expansion and growth, NEVER-ENDING. That’s why no matter what you have there will always be more, and it’s about the process and the joy of the journey, it’s the joy and energy you flow through your journey, what challenges you experience and what goals and desires you determine as a result. The ‘challenges’ are what help you define what you want and be clear, and then your focus must be on what you want than on what you don’t

9. You don’t have to look at what’s (or what’s not) in your bank account to have beliefs about abundance in your life. Use your imagination. Realise the things you DO have in your life, whether it be the smile you got from a stranger today or the fact there was a beautiful sunrise. It’s really about what choices you make about how you feel about things, rather than the things themselves. The universe hears your vibration and matches that signal

10. Remember it’s not just about money and wealth. The Universe can provide you limitless answers to questions. The planet currently is asking quite a few questions, whether it be about the environment or otherwise. The planet (i.e. the people on it in this example) is getting clarity about what it wants and what it doesn’t, and the desire and motivation is building for it. Every time someone does something ‘not-green’, that adds to the clarity and desire. But it is not lined up to the solution. There are an abundance of answers and solutions that reveal themselves in lining up to them by ‘being’ and focusing on what you want (the solution), rather than the problem. The ‘problem’ helps define and get clarity and desire, lining up with and 'being' from the solution allows it to come into the physical whether as an idea or inspiration or as an actual physical manifestation

Whatever It Takes

I wanted to share this very inspirational and motivational poem from my sponsor John Russell Terrier who has been a real inspiration to me and a great guide and friend.

Whatever It Takes

I am committed to doing whatever it takes.

The die’s been cast.
I’ve stepped over the line.
I’m out of the comfort zone.
The decision has been made.
I won’t look back, let up, slow down or back away.
I’m finished and done with low living,
small planning and colorless dreams.
I cannot live with tame visions, dwarfed goals, mundane
talking, or chintzy giving.
I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, or
lured away.
I will not allow myself to be turned
back, deluded or delayed.
I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, nor hesitate in the presence of adversity.
I will not negotiate at the table of the enemy, nor will I long for the pool of popularity.
I refuse to waste another minute in the maze of mediocrity.
I’m through with the old ways of thinking and living. I am a leader of many.

I am successful.

I am ready to pay the price no matter what the cost.
Bring it on.
I am ready for anything because here’s the deal…

I am committed to doing whatever it takes!

You can Be and Do Whatever You Put Your Mind To Do

I have been a fan of Anthony Robbins for a number of years. I loved his personal story of how he overcame adversity and turned his life around. I admire his love to helping others to succeed, his humbleness and the fact he has never forgotten where he came from.

I regularly listen to his CD set GIANT STEPS, of which there is also a book of the same title. His speeches are so inspiring and motivational, I have always wanted to see him at an event.

Well, about two years ago I got the chance to see him in person. I really could not afford going to the event, but worked hard at my business to build the additional income required to purchase my ticket and hotel room. I was on my way!
I went to a Anthony Robbins event at the Excel Centre in London. It was a four day event. I didn't know what to expect when I got there, but it was such an emotional event for me. I met so many people whom I knew personally before, and also met many new friends some of which I still keep in touch with.

I learnt alot about myself during those four days, it was a really intense programme. As part of that programme on DAY ONE, we all had to walk across hot coals. The fear and trepidation that came across me when the actual time came was awesome, but the emotion and the motivation from others around me gave me the confidence to step out on the white hot coals and walk 40 feet across the coals without getting burnt.

What did this tell me about myself? If you think it you can do it!

Quick Goal Setting Tips

Found these great tips on line for goal setting, thought you could use them....
You can subscribe to their site by clicking here

1. Make goals meaningful. Goal setting for the sake of goal setting almost always ends in disappointment. Goal setting is simply a tool to use in achieving a favorable outcome -- what some people call a "Dream."

2. Use positive language and the present tense when setting a goal. It is better to say "I weigh a healthy, trim and fit 185 pounds" than "I want to lose 20 pounds."

3. Always put your goals in writing. Every expert agrees that setting a goal without putting it in writing drastically reduces your chances of success.

4. Goal setting should take place in every area of your life, including Health, Relationships, Spiritual, Career and Financial.

5. Setting Life Goals will add dimension, excitement and texture to your life.

6. Failure doesn't always mean that you did something wrong in your goal setting or implementation. It may just mean that the time you allotted for success wasn't adequate. A thorough review process should be undertaken before setting the goal again.

Activities for Achieving Goals

Have you always wanted to know why some people consistently hit their goals and targets while others don't or can't seem to? Here are some activities which if actioned on a regular consistent basis can help change your life and attitude.

Jim Rohn, the great philospher once said "Life is influenced by how we feel. What you know is where you will arrive" and another great quote by Jim Rohn which says it all for me "Direction determines Destination".

What is your Dream?

Daily Blog thoughts....

How many of us forget our childhood dreams, or dreams we had as young adults in our teenage years, or early twenties? How soon those dreams are forgotten when LIFE gets in the way.

Don't wait for life to pass you by before you begin to dream again. Dream now, take Action NOW and persist ALWAYS, you will get there if these actions are taken persistenly and consitently.

Visualise your dreams daily. Meditate on them if you must.... etch them into your MIND.

Don't forget your dreams, and don't wash them away or brush them aside, keep them in the forefront of your mind.

Make a dream board, take pictures cut out pictures of what you want, put images of what you wish to achieve all onto a dreamboard and hang this in front of where you work or in your living room, kitchen, your bedroom wall. Everywhere you look have a picture of a dream in front of you....

What is my dream? Here is one of them!

The Secret is in the Follow Ups

The age old problem for newbies or even well established internet marketers, is how do you turn a lead into a sale?

If you have never 'sold' or talked someone into 'buying' a product or service before, this can be scary, unnerving and could lower your confidence and self esteem. Most online marketing companies do offer mentoring and a coach to help you through your first few sales, normally by doing three way calls with you and your potential client.

There are a number of ways you can do the follow ups, through phone calls, emails, skype is also an option, it is up to you to choose which medium is comfortable to you, but a good mix of all three can help.

The secret is indeed in the follow up. When a prospect lands on your website, how are you following them up? Can you tell which ones are just curious and which ones are serious?

I have spent so much time following up people who were not really interested but were just curious and due to my inexperience when I first joined the online marketing world I found it difficult at first to turn these people round into a 'sale'.

I started out with developing a script I was comfortable with to use when making follow up calls, and in time I adapted and made this more freestyle for my own purposes. This helped me to push my sign-up rate to 4 in 10 people rather than the original 1 in 15 when I first started out.

Building a rapport with your prospects is important. Getting to know and understand them and their current situation will help you identify how best you can 'serve' them and meet their needs through the products or services you have. People will often not buy from 'strangers' or people they feel they cannot trust, so building up this trust is important.

Keeping your Focus

Sometimes it can be difficult keeping focus on your tasks, especially if like me you tend to multi task and sometimes get so side tracked into other things. So how do you keep yourself on track?

I for one look at my to do list on a daily basis, I use Microsoft Outlook so find that I can have my daily tasks added to my mobile phone application and I also print out the tasks and calender as I also like to physically tick things off.

I then look at my tasks and pick 5 must dos for the day and focus on those, then when i have done those I look at the next 5...

Anyone got any good tips here would be appreciated, so come on bloggers add to this forum positively....

You can follow me on twitter @workfmhomeDiva hope to see you there!
