Annoying Wordpress Blogs... Losing focus and now getting back on track...

It has been a month of grief for me in August!  Having issues with my wordpress blog, however, all seems to have been resolved and am feeling back to normal.

It's funny how when things do not seem to go well, and demotivation sets in.
SO I thought I would write about how I got over this.

We can all get disheartened when things don't seem to be going away we want them to. Our mood changes, we snap at the people who are trying to help us, and we tend to back out and back away from the crowd.
It's all too easy to spiral downwards into a almost type of depression when you just don't Wanna do anything. Have you been there?

So, after feeling really fed up and demotivated I'm really wanted to get back into the blogosphere. I mustered up the effort to get in touch with my network provider and sort out the issue of whether it was my Internet or my blogging platform.

I must say, I was pleasantly surprised from both of the customer service was exceptional. They understand my plight and really wanted to help me get back on board especially when I sounded so down. As soon as my problem was resolved which took just over a week to do I was back on board marketing away and in a lot more happier mood.

However I was kind of stuck. I just didn't know what to write about. So I got back onto my learning path, started reading other peoples blogs, started looking at the news and what was happening around me.
Taking interest in your business and other peoples business and what they're finding difficult also help to give me information about what I could write about.

So now I'm back on board ready to fire up the Workfmhomdiva blog watch out for interesting posts  from me over the next few days, months etc...

Have you had an experience where you are completely demotivated? What did you do to get back on track share with us below

Happy Thanksgiving

If we want to succeed, we need to appreciate the things around us, and the current position we are in.

Now the last week saw hurricane Sandy wreck the Carribbean and New York. There are millions of people displaced by the natural disaster that took place. People lost their homes, their valued possessions, memories and items of sentimental value through something which could not have been avoided, and for which no one could prepare for.

20121110-164209.jpg
Many are still without a home, electricity or water or most importantly a roof over their head. In the news we see that the weather in New York has changed and there is now snow and the temperature has dropped, so the added misery of the cold has now been added to those already suffering.

If you run a home business you may be struggling to earn a dime right now, you may be wondering if network marketing is your thing. There maybe situations in your life that are holding you back or distracting you from keeping yourself on track. You may be worrying more about making money or debt, rather than being giving value to others and helping others.

If we take time to give thanks each and every day things will come to you. The more you are thankful for, the more will come your way. The more you think about things that worry you, the more things that worry will come to mind. If you think about debt, more debt will appear.

Switch your direction and think of things to be thankful for. Take your mind of negativity and be positive and thankful for what you have already and will have in future.

Wishing all my US counterparts a lovely thanksgiving....

Motivational Wednesday Video - How to Flip Your Switch

Did You Wake Up On The Wrong Side of Bed?

Sometimes we start of having a bad day, either receiving bad news
falling out of bed, stubbing our toe, being suddenly woken up.

Whatever has made you miserable at the beginning of the day
is also making your day a 'miserable day' unless you are
able to 'flip your emotional switch' and get back on
the positive side of the trace.

Great advice here in my video below which can help.

If you find this useful, why not leave me a comment below.

If Your Happy And You Know It...

A few more days and it will be Thanksgiving in the USA.  Thanksgiving is usually a time for family, and to remember those who are no longer with us.  It is a time to be grateful and to count your blessings.

Far too many people are unhappy with the way in which they are currentlly living, they are fed up with their jobs, living where they are, not being able to 'have'.

I once felt like that, but here is the thing, you can make the change that is important for YOU, no one else can.   Little steps.... little steps that help lead to bigger steps.

Put out your intention, and watch what comes back to you.  Have an unblinding faith in what ever it is you are asking.

Over the last 15 years I have been using the law of attraction unintentionally, and have successfully pulled things into my life.  Since then I have read many books that have informed me and shown me how to use the law of attraction. The one that has made the most impact on me is The Master Key System by Charles F. Haanel this actually gives you a step by step blue print of how to achieve success.

I wish you all a happy thanksgiving for when it comes, and in the meantime I want to leave you with this

You are greater than you think you are..... unknown

Mindset - How To Build COnfidence and Destroy Fear

This is one of the most insightful books I have ever read.

If you want to develop your mindset then this book should be on your reading list.

This is a short eExcerpt from the Book The Magic of Thinking Big by David Schwartz.

his video discusses how FEAR can destroy confidence if you let it, and what can be done about fighting fear. As a new Marketer, it is new territory that you are approaching, and it can be scary.

SOme people don't stay the round, some do, but for whatever reason take the 'long road' to success.

Confidence and belief in yourself is all to important and can be the make or break of most network marketers.

Being a strong leader is not always something that comes naturally, but with mindset changes and personal development in place, becoming the person you want to become is more easier and acceptable if you put your mind to it.

Episode 3 - Journey Into Network Marketing - Mindset

One of the most key principles in my starting to make headway in network marketer was changing the way I thought…. You see, it started to make sense to me when my upline referred me to a book Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. This book helped me to transform my mind and my business literally. You see most marketers when they first start their online business have an employee mentality. They struggle with how to set up their business, and don't know what to expet. The reality of the time needed to spend on your start up in business is not really thought through. The reality is, you have to 'go back to school' , lots of reading, watching videos and taking action on the things you are picking up. More on this post can be found here: http://ping.fm/YHJzq

Change Must Come From Within!

The famous philosopher Jim Rohn once said,

"for things to change, you must change"

Events and circumstances around us can only be changed if we change our way of looking at them. Life sends us challenges every day, how we deal with the challenges has a direct input into our future.

Becoming a different person to the one you are now is not easy and requires much patience, personal development and thus having a great coach or mentor helps.
That's why it is important to spend time with new team members to guide and bring out the best in them. We all have it in us, we just need a good coach to bring it out.

Equally important is recognising that we want to change, and taking steps for yourself is the first point in making that change happen.

'If you want something different in your life, you will need to do something you have never done!'

To your success

Difficulties “ Newbies” face with their online business

I have been a business owner and CEO of three different companies and have seen many people give up just when they were so close to success. Here are some of my observations as to what may cause new people to resign in their online business within a short space of time. If you are new to owning an online business then you may recognise a few of these traits.

Owning your first online business is exciting in the first few weeks of starting out until the hardwork and reality sinks in. The secret is keeping motivated, organised and a calm level head in order to move your business forward.

Your mentor should be there to aid you and guide you on the initial steps you need to take to get your business up and running from day one. Listen to them, they have gone through this before you and are more than qualified to guide you one your way.

Mentoring and Helping Yourself

First things first, you need to be in a position to help yourself. Although your mentor is there to guide you, they are not there to hold your hands every step of the way. After all you wouldn’t expect your employer to shadow you around the firm for the first few months would you? As long as you know where all the right resources are and these could be company forums, business coaches, handbooks, online tutorials and the like which again your mentor should have guided you through initially. If they do not manage to do this, then either drop them an email, or contact them through their preferred method.

Changing your Mindset

Now that you have your employer hat on, yes that’s right, you need to have an employer hat, absolutely essential. Owning your own online business is totally different to having a boss to tell you what you must do on a day to day basis. You need to change your current mindset and take your home business seriously, even if you are only working this part time, you need to ensure you have a full time attitude.

Business Planning

With your employer hat on, you need to start looking at your online business development strategy (or business plan). What are your goals and objectives, what is it you are trying to achieve in your online business. How, why and when? You need to understand this clearly before you strike out in any shape or form.

• What types of advertising are you going to do to market your online business? Costed versus uncosted advertising. How much money do you realistically have?
• How much advertising and how regularly do you need to do this?
• Who are your target audience for each advertising method you choose?

Once you have thought through your business plan you may wish to pass this to your mentor for feedback. You mentor should once they have your business plan, help you to put things in place to meet that plan. But, in all, it is down to you as the business owner to ensure you carry out the required action to move your business forward.

Personal Development and Training

As a new person you may think you have to read up on every book, course and online forum note before you can actively go out there an promote your business – wrong!
Things don’t have to be perfect before you start doing them. In fact, as you are learning and going along is the best way to generate meaningful training notes/videos/blogs.

Set aside time for training, this is important if you wish to not only change your mind set but to move ahead in your online business. But, don’t make the mistake of setting aside too much time for self development and training and not enough time for your business. This can cause inertia in any business and ultimately ‘death’… of your online business.

Inaction

So many recruits can fall into this trap of inaction if they are left to themselves. As I mentioned before it takes a certain type of mentality to work for yourself. You have to develop and grow. A few good books that may help are
a) Think and Grow Rich – Napoleon Hill
b) The Twelve Pillars – Jim Rohn
c) Who Moved My Cheese – Spencer John MD

If you feel you are not doing anything constructive with your online business, speak to your mentor or your peers around you. Find a way to motivate yourself into action. Too many times, you hear about recruits getting disheartened after a number of months in, but if only they had the guts to stick it out a little longer, their rewards were just around the corner. Remember 97% of new online business start ups are doomed to fail – get into the 3% bracket…

Getting into Action

Equally important is setting aside time for your business. Many people will have started their business part time, with a view to making it full time in the not too distant future. If that is the case then make sure you are putting in serious part time hours in a very full time productive way.

Putting in 4 – 7 hours a week is an insult to your home business, you may as well treat this as a hobby, with the hope of getting some money now and then. If you want an online business to work you need to put in a lot of hours in the early stages, perhaps 10 – 12 or more hours a week. The early days in any online business are the hardest. People want to see results straight away, and sometimes the results do not happen like this if you do not put enough time, effort or action into your business.

In part two of this article I will write about what you can do as a mentor to ensure all of the above gets underway and that your new recruit excels in their new found online business, making you lots of residual income.
