Hey Networkers, today my blog is about talking to potential prospects. You see I have just had the exciting pleasure of going through the Black Belt Recruiting Course by Mike Dillard and this is great stuff...why didnt I find it sooner: )
So often when we get on the phone to our potential prospects some how or other our intended message seems to get 'lost in translation'. This is not about speaking different languages, well it is and it isn't. It is not about whether you speak English and your prospect speaking GREEK, it is about being on the same LEVEL and WAVE LENGTH.
It is about how well you can convey yourself to your prospect. Do you let them take charge in the conversation? Or are you a leader and are able to pull the conversation back in your side of the court? Being able to do the latter will bring you much more respect and qudos as being a leader.
Let's face it, people look to join leaders, and if you are just not seen to be cutting it as a leader, then you are going to travel a long up hill road to being successful in this industry.
So, what did I learn from the black belt recruiting course....there is an art to handling objections, there is a mindset that YOU as a leader needs to have, there are TIME MANAGEMENT rules and decisions you need to make- all to ensure you are not wasting your valuable commodity TIME....and more....
