Facebook has been around now for a number of years and has been the fastest growing social media network with over 800 million users possibly more than that now.

Facebook marketing seems to have taken off with direct marketing sellers and MLM companies.   Let's face it, there is a whole new dimension  of how to market online just through Facebook alone.

For instance you are able to  market to people by their age group, gender,  or by their interests, or by the country, region or town that they are in. Totally not like Google at all. The possibilities of targeting the right type of person into your business are definitely a lot smarter using Facebook then using Google.

For far too long Google has dominated the paper click market and their  adwords markets and are even pricing some of their best advertisers out of the market. Not only can Google be very expensive. But it can also be very difficult to place ads on Google as they are now getting very strict with the way advertisers word with their advertisements.

The some Internet marketers this is the death slap. If you ever have all your eggs in one basket especially on PPC then this could be the end for you.

Facebook Users Beware New Facebook Features

This is a great article taken from Mashable re Facebook's new features...

If you didn’t watch Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook announcements last week — and of course the vast majority of Facebook users did not — you may be in for a surprise. Aside from the dramatically redesigned Facebook Timeline profile pages, which roll out in the coming weeks (and which I’ve grown to love), Facebook’s new system to auto-share what you do around the web may catch many Facebook addicts off guard.
In fact, even those people who know exactly how this new feature works may need to be on guard against sharing some seriously embarrassing updates.
For those not in the loop: Facebook is making sharing even easier by automatically sharing what you’re doing on Facebook-connected apps. Instead of having to “Like” something to share it, you’ll just need to click “Add to Timeline” on any website or app, and that app will have permission to share your activity with your Facebook friends.
What activity, you ask? It could be the news articles you read online, the videos you watch, the photos you view, the music you listen to, or any other action within the site or app. Facebook calls this auto-sharing “Gestures.”

Facebook Marketing Tip - Creating a Fan Page

Many people when they first create a facebook page as part of their business soon realise that there are other venues that Facebook has provided in order for you to get the most out of advertising your products or services online and for increasing your personal brand.

A regular facebook account is great for building up your contacts and friends. however, the limit to how many friends you can have is set to 5000. Have a facebook fan page allows you unlimited friends and has so many other features to offer.

 I have been coaching new business owners and existing business owners for a while now, and it amazes me when they begin to look at ways in which to expand their  business online, they never think off  using facebook as a form of promoting their business, they said it is not for them, they are not into 'socialising' online.
