Freaky Friday!

Have you seen the movie "Freaky Friday"?

In the story a mom and her teenage daughter find their
personalities have switched places (on a Friday).

The mom (in her daughter's body) has to to go back to
high school, and the daughter (in her mom's body) has
to spend the day at work in corporate America.

It's a funny movie, but it got me thinking about
attracting wealth and abundance.

Specifically, what would happen if a self-made
millionaire and "poor" person switched places?

Imagine - a person who's been struggling with money
wakes up one day in the same financial situation
- mountains of debt, overdue bills, dead end job - but
now there's a new brain in charge.

A wealthy brain. The brain of a person who see's the
world from a rich person's point of view.

You can probably see where this is going.

The poor person (now suddenly "rich") would be partying
and living out all their fantasies and burning through
cash at an astonishing rate.

The rich person (now in the poor person's body) would
be focused on how to become wealthy again.

They would wake up in the morning thinking like a rich
person, take rich person actions, manage their tiny
bank account like a rich person - and very soon the
money would be flowing.

Their "wealthy thinking" would immediately kick in.

What does this have to do with your financial picture?

Two things:

1 - Money does not make you rich. Give money to a
person with a "poor" mindset and in a short time
they'll be broke (Some experts say that 70% of lottery
winners are broke again within 2 years).

2 - If you want to achieve the wealth and prosperity
you dream about, it's not going to happen with the
same level of thinking you're at now.

You may already be working on this. Setting goals,
doing affirmations, working with the law of attraction.

But what if instead of spending months or years slowly
building your "wealthy mindset" you could quickly "wake
up" the wealthy genius already inside of you?

What if tomorrow you were suddenly able to
think and act and attract money like a self-made
millionaire?

Goals = Frustration

Self Develoment: You Are Never Too Busy to Learn

A quick blog today about the importance of learning, of improving your self development.   Some people think once you have left school that's it, learning is over.  The reality is we must all continue to learn if we want to advance in life.

A doctor takes years to learn their craft and even then with time comes new medical break throughs, new technology which have to be studied and learned.  This applies to many areas not just for those in the Medical world.

What ever job you have, there are most likely to be qualifications which you need to have, or ongoing ones you need to retake once in a while. But, why just do this for your work, why not apply this to your personal life. We should never stop learning, we just weren't born that way. The human being has an inquiring mind, and believe it or not we only use a small percentage of our brain, according to most scientists we only use approximately 10% of our brain power. Now I'm not saying if you continue to learn you can improve the percentage of your brain you are using!  Imagine if that were the case there would be many of us using alot more of our brains. 

What I have found is that mixing with people who have gone out of their way to continue learning, personally developing their selves, making small improvements in their life has helped them move to another level, one which their previous mindset would not have allowed them to.  

Have you ever wondered"why am I here?", "what is my purpose?", this can lead on a path of self development, meeting positive minded people who make you question where you are and why you are here. Take time out to discover new things, open your mind to people and events around you.

Happy Easter! Wackiest Easter Traditions...

Easter is one of the few days of the year where traditionally we spend time with family and good friends. It should also be a time for reflection, for being thankful for what we have and who we have around us. Easter, traditionally seen as the beginning of spring, new beginnings,new life. 

For some of us here in the UK, we are looking forward to chocolate eggs and bunnies and hot cross buns, but there are other wacky traditions happening all over the world for instance, in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia, where there is a tradition of spanking or whipping women on Easter Monday. Males throw water at females and spank them with handmade whips made of willow and decorated with ribbons at the end. The spanking is supposed to be symbolic and according to legend, females should be spanked in order to keep their health and beauty during the next year. It doesn’t sound too fun for the women!

On Maundy Thursday in Verges, in Spain, a traditional “death dance” is performed which involves a parade down the streets of the medieval town. Everyone involved is dressed in costumes and the procession ends with frightening skeletons carrying boxes of ashes. The scary dance begins at midnight and continues for three hours into the early morning.

If the man of the house in Poland takes part in preparing the traditional Easter bread, custom has it that his moustache will turn grey and the dough will fail. So the lucky man of the house is banned from helping out.

In Latvia, the traditional Easter game played by the children is similar to conkers – but with eggs. Players pair off and use hard-boiled coloured eggs joined together with string. Competitors bang the ends of the eggs together until one player’s egg breaks. The winner is the player with the stronger egg. It sounds a bit messy to us.

The way in which we each celebrate Easter is diverse and different and although there are common grounds, there are also huge differences.  There are no wrong or right ways to celebrate the Easter period, so hoping your all enjoy your time out with your family however you maybe celebrating.
