Self Development - Defeat Can Only Lead To Success If You Learn From It

 Everyone suffers from defeat now and again, but it is what you do or think when you are defeated that makes the difference. There are those of us, who when defeated simply walk away and vow never to try that again, or become involved in such activities again. This is true of most network marketers or business owners who start out very positive wanting to achieve a dream to work for themselves, and when the going gets difficult, they simply give in too easily and walk away. Statistics have shown that 97% of New Businesses fail within their first 3 - 5 years of starting up.
Regardless of whether you have a business or not, where conditions arise which may lead to defeat, here are some worthwhile lessons we could all take away in how to make that defeat a victory and turn it around into something positive.

Networking Your Way To Success

The question to ask yourself is this... 'are you mixing with like minded people?' who you mix with with determine your success. I don't know how many books I have read that have said in order to be a success, it is advisable to be around successful people. Why? well let's look at it shall we. You are influenced greatly by those who are around you, and if you are surrounded by successful people, you will begin to think like them, act like them, and hold yourself up like them.

So, that being said, if you are currently not going out and mixing with successful people, there is only so far in life that you can go. Being a part of a physical group, or online one or being able to talk to others via email or mailing each other is a great way to not only share ideas, but to brainstorm issues or problems with others who are then able to provide you with possible solutions

Albert Einstein and Napoleon Hill talk about 'Master Mind Groups'. This is where a group of like minded people meet up once a week or month or whenever they decide to, and each person is successful in different areas of industry, life etc. You are then able to brainstorm business ideas, or problems together to come to a resolution that meets your needs. The Master Mind Group is not for gossiping or small talk it is about discussing ways to improve each others lives or business. It is about staying around people who are positive, like minded and who have things in common with you.

It is amazing what you can accomplish when you don't care who gets the credit!

There are many social networking sites where you can begin your own mastermind groups or join existing ones.  Sites like www.ecademy.com or www.linkedin.com,www.betternetworker.com are really good for networking with like minded business people, and people who are able to help solve issues or problems. These are just a few that I have found really useful, and there are many more out there, so let me know if you find any more useful sites by leaving a comment on this blog postecademy. Build up a good rapport online and take it from there.

There are also forums that you can join on most topics, just google for a forum of your choice and begin to network with like minded people.
